Finally writing the texts for the YuiHaru-comic I finished a while ago. I named it VI, as that is the number of the Lovers-card in Tarot

Okay. Okay, I finished the first draft. But. You know what I mean. Now, time to let it sit for a month or so until revision.

I officially graduated last Friday, just going to pick up notarized copies of my certificate on Monday for uni applications. My life is a huge mess at the moment, but this blog is not the place to talk about it. Shishi with freckles is now canon, because freckles are hot. I’ll draw a less scary-looking, less rushed pic of her eventually. It will even have better anatomy, le choc! The above image is cut because the full size contains boobies and looks hideous. So there.

Expect daily posts while I’m on vacation. I might even update that writing blog nobody knows I have. My fingers are itching to write some short stories full of brainfuckery. I’m thinking of merging said writing blog any this one together…sounds like a good idea, y/n? Seeing as I’ve posted stories on here in the past… I’ll think about it.

All those lines are going to disappear eventually. Actually, even at this point, it looks better with lines off. >=< I really enjoy painting this, which is surprising, because painting used to scare the hell out of me.

My first book from the Writer’s Digest Howdunit series finally arrived! That is, the first one I’m planning on buying. Chapters cover mass murder, serial murder, bizarre murder, child murder and sexual predators, among other things. I CAN’T WAIT TO READ IT ALL OH GOD. Enlighten me! >=>

Up there you see Andrew Christopher Bell, referred to as “A” by his few friends. He studies Chemistry at a university and juggles different jobs to pay for his tuition. After one of his work colleagues at a convenience store dies under mysterious circumstances, he gets persuaded by his friend Shuffle to apply for an unspecified lab job at a medical company called MIME, where he starts to work at the research department. Slowly, Andrew discovers that those are not conventional drugs that are in production here~

But I haven’t been writing at all yet, with schoolwork, procrastination and lightheadedness in the way I hope I can still make it in time. Maybe I should sleep more.

When it comes to writing stories, I’m what you call a pantser. I write off the top of my head, without any planning whatsoever. Usually, as I write along, everything  just comes together naturally.

Of course, it doesn’t always.

After doing nothing but short stories, I started working on a novel last April. I was having lots of fun with it, I wasn’t planning a thing and writing whatever seemed cool. Now, 95,000 words and lots of redundancy into the story, I’m completely stuck and don’t know what to do next. I have ideas about how to wrap things together, but I have no clue how to resolve everything neatly, much less how to get there from that mess of a plot I have now.

Basically, what I have been doing all day is being frustrated, procrastinating, writing a thus-far plot summary to decide which scenes to take out and watching Family Guy. I don’t like editing my first drafts before they are finished, but I already postponed that long enough x,D

Looks like i’ll cut out roughly 40k words. That’s almost half of what I’ve written. For the sake of a better story, then you’ll need to make a few sacrifices, huh?

Anyway, I haven’t been drawing at all because of that, and it looks like that’s going to remain that way for a while. I might take a break from posting for a few days, or not…depends on how fast I get things back on track. >=<

CB has been depressing lately.

I’m roughly two thirds through the story right now. My poor Yui-muffin, with all those things happening to her ; v ; -hugs- Sneak preview below.

By all means, it couldn’t get much worse than this, right? I had now officially gained the entitlement to indulge myself in self-pity, begging your pardon. Darkness would have been nice right now. Instead, a bright full moon sent its harsh, pale light through the glass front leading out to the terrace. I closed my eyes, pretending that there was nothing in front and nothing behind me, no staircase, no terrace.

(No gunshots, no blood.)

I ordered a Loomis book two days ago…having it delivered to the bookstore because of various circumstances. It takes quite some time and I’m impatient >3>

With 8567 words (according to yWriter…I expect it to be ~8000 in Ren’Py), the first draft of Midnight Noize is finished, time to celebrate! >=> I can’t believed I finished all of it in four days, I wrote roughly 4000 words the first day alone. =< The story is under 10k words, just as I wanted, but now has a few more locations. The event CG count is a bit higher as well, but nothing too large to manage. It’s practice after all, not an epic project.

I won’t touch the script now for at least two weeks…then editing will begin. At times, I would really like to have an English speaker to help me with that, but on the other hand, polishing my own drafts is fun, too >=<

Now, after all that, back to writing Cobalt Blue…and Paper Hearts ♥
